Dear Old Friend,

In Florida, I pay no income tax. I pay a mild sales tax. My property taxes are infinitely cheaper than my beloved Chicago.

I lived in Chicago for 11 years – and I COULDN’T be happier that I’ve left. I narrowly avoided the approaching period where the city goes economically and socially insane. Following the new mayor’s election, the already-cash-strapped city aims to soak its middle class. Anyone who is still there needs to move…

Here are the new tax proposals on top 2.19% property taxes, a 10.5% sales tax, a 4.95% income tax, and plenty of excise taxes that pick your pocket left and right to feed failing pension systems. The new proposals from his policy advisors include:

·      A 3.5%% income tax on households making $100,000 or more.

·      A 0.4% additional tax on the top 10% of income earners.

·      A 400% tax increase on jet fuel.

·      A $33 headcount tax on any company with 50+ employees

·      Cut the police budget by $538 million, and my favorite:

A 1% to 2% tax on…
